Christ Church, St. Simons Island, Ga.

This small island church was first destroyed by Union soldiers during the Civil War in 1862. Later it was rebuilt by ship builders and designed after an inverted ship's hull. An intricately beautiful architectural masterpiece. The stained glass windows represent both the spiritual and secular beginnings and surroundings of the church. Photos were taken in 2013 while  wandering around the island with Pam.
